rejoice, mothers of girls

Your offspring's clothing will usually not be in this state when you pick them up from kindergarten on a sunny day.

The sandals were so wet they made a squelching noise with every step he took. And, when he got home he changed into clean clothes and then headed out with the sidewalk chalk. He is now on his third pair of pants of the day, and lest you think this is some kind of isolated occurrence? I'm afraid not.

I wish you were right--but since my daughter started summer camp, she's come home every day with sand ground into her clothes (and her towel, natch). I did have the soaked sandals on the boy the other day, too. I can't imagine that feeling too good!

Your CD went out doay. They told me 7 days or less. Hmmm. Guess we'll see!

Lady, I have to tell you- my kid comes home like that- ALL THE TIME. I can't even count the times that we have to get all of her clothes off in the mud room, just so she doesn't track it through the house...

Believe it or not, but one day you will miss this... What I wouldn't give for my LITTLE boy again... even with dirty clothes... :)

You know, I think you should just burn those clothes instead of trying to wash them...might be easier. *LOL*

landismom, yeah I knew I was overgeneralizing a bit. But he's been like that every day since the weather turned nice.

~d I would never have let him in the car. We walked. In squishy sandals, on his part. Also, thanks on the CD. I haven't even started yours yet. I don't know where to start!

Kel, as I said, I know it's not all girls, but still, I've met your daughter and I know that someday you will be able to teach her that keeping cleanish can make sense. Ignatz still bursts out in angry rebellion when I suggest someting outrageous like clean underwear.

KimberlyDi, oh, I know. I already miss their littler selves. However, knowing my sons, it'll be a good long time before I get a chance to miss the dirt.

El, outta my cold, dead hands... I just bought those pants, and I will fight to save them!

I don't know, my baby girl snorts and screams with indignation when things are not prompt enough for her. Snorting, I tell you, so not girlie. I see mud in my future.
